Happy Random Art Prompt Friday! This week’s piece is pretty cool (if I do say so myself…). I got a bit more painterly with the style and I really like how it turned out. If you’re like me and you don’t know much about tomatillos, they look a lot like tomatoes and grow in something like a wrapper. The outside “wrapper” is leafy and petal-like and as the fruit inside grows, it eventually tears apart the outer covering. They’re pretty neat looking and I knew immediately that I wanted to use the torn, discarded husk as the “ghost” of the tomatillo. Really love it and happy I was able to get things to look pretty realistic.
