“Beauté Tragique”

This was just a random painting I did in college. I was noticing a trend with many females that disturbed me; taking so much time to look a certain way but not realizing why they did that. They were being controlled by the media, society, businesses, etc…like puppets. “You should be beautiful first. You can’t be beautiful unless you look like this though…or unless you buy our products…” I took the idea of doing something that looked like French poster art and that is why I decided to add the text in French.
