I LOVE Halloween! Decorations can be SO expensive though…plus it gets monotonous seeing the SAME decorations on every other house.
We had a bunch of scrap plywood from our home renovations so I put together this modular Jack Skellington from “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. Basically, I cut out all the pieces with a jigsaw. Then I spray painted each piece and after that dried, I added any details (pinstriping, face, buttons, etc…) Then I started to assemble him. His arms, legs, and neck attach to his torso with nuts and bolts (as well as his head to his neck). The segments of his legs, arms, hands, and feet are attached with links of black, decor chain. Lastly, I cut his coattails out of a scrap piece of black fabric so they would move with the wind.
I have him hung up here with a piece of chain and some plastic hooks but ideally, I would want him to be on something like a post. Hopefully I’ll figure that out this Halloween.
