“Abstract Floral”

I got pretty interested in the work of Georgia O’Keefe in college. I liked how she could paint a flower SO realistically but somehow make it look so surreal. This is definitely an abstract interpretation of a floral motif but I had in mind tulips or calla lilies. There is something familiar yet alien about this piece which I find really exciting. I would say that this is another piece that doesn’t feel completely realized so I may come back to it also and see what happens.
