“Appreciation”

Yet another piece that I can’t really explain well. Perhaps this was just an amalgamation of things in my head. I had the thought to have a person who was heavily tattooed but in a way that was reversed. The swallow is an absolute reflection of how much I was watching Miami Ink. I guess now that I think about it, there is a kind of tattoo theme here. The background is just a random, trippy backdrop and I think it works. I call this piece “Appreciation” because that’s the feeling I get when I look at this person’s face.
