This was originally designed as a baby shower invitation.\u00a0 I was for a friend of a friend and the notes I got for what they wanted was rustic, earthy, not too cutesy, and no need to use pinks\/blues.\u00a0 In situations where parents don’t want the traditional pink\/blue I tend to gravitate toward greens.\u00a0 I think green is calming and still happy.\u00a0 It’s a color that conveys life so I find it a good alternative.\u00a0 I built the owl with just some simple shapes in Illustrator as well as the trees.\u00a0 The original invite had a few different fonts taking up the majority of the space with the baby’s name in the center box.\u00a0 This invite is maybe not everyone’s cup-of-tea but it was perfect for my client and they really loved it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
