This week&#8217;s piece is pretty cool (if I do say so myself&#8230;). I got a bit more painterly with the style and I really like how it turned out. If you&#8217;re like me and you don&#8217;t know much about tomatillos, they look a lot like tomatoes and grow in something like a wrapper. The outside &#8220;wrapper&#8221; is leafy and petal-like and as the fruit inside grows, it eventually tears apart the outer covering. They&#8217;re pretty neat looking and I knew immediately that I wanted to use the torn, discarded husk as the &#8220;ghost&#8221; of the tomatillo. Really love it and happy I was able to get things to look pretty realistic. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Random Art Prompt Friday!
